Madhabkunda Waterfall
A three-hour drive south-east of Sylhet (and equally accessible from
Srimangal by road and rail), and 3km from Dakshinbagh train station,
is the famous remote waterfall of Madhabkunda, which is pictured in
many tourist brochures and attracts a good number of sightseers.
Again, it is popular with busloads of Bangladeshi tourists and the
area around is often covered with litter. This general area is also
where you may be able to find some of the few elephants in
Bangladesh, which are still being used as work animals, hauling huge
logs.
